I love the sounds of tea-house trekking - I think that could convince me to do a longer walk also. :)

The UK is perfectly set up for a walking holiday and I have done a few of the ones you mention ... I LOVED Snowdonia. But I normally am only up for a one day walk - except in places like Georgia and Nepal where they have the tea-house trekking! Oh that would convince me on a week long walking holiday!

Thanks for the suggestion, that sounds like a very long but very scenic trip that I need to look further into. :)

You definitely can't beat a good walk, especially on a sunny day, to cheer you up and as an easy way to get some exercise. Having lived in South West England for a few years I can't recommend the South West coast path highly enough. It runs for 630 miles from Minehead (in Somerset) to Poole in Dorset, taking in Devon and Cornwall on the way.

It's a really easy trail to self-navigate as it's very well signposted. There are easy sections and tough ones. There are some you can do as circular walks or do the returning part by bus. Glorious views and fresh air are guaranteed. Oh, and a pasty to keep your energy up is essential.

An amazing way to see Devon and Cornwall at its best.
