Nice to meet you via travel blogs promotion. Love the literature approach. I’m such a hopeless bookworm myself. In Malaysia, I got totally fascinated by ‘The Malay Archipelago’ by Alfred Rusell Wallace. Although written 150 years ago, it’s teeming with vivid descriptions and lovely Victorian understatements. I’m currently in Beirut, the land of Gibran and Amin Malouf. Did you read any of his historic fiction? Leon the African is a masterwork. So is Samarkand. I actually read that one while chilling in Palmyra. How the times have changed there. Next week, I might meet the writer in Brussels. Looking forward to it.
